Greetings from the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine staff!
We wanted to let you know that we have received our 2nd “Center of Excellence” award due to our high patient satisfaction and rapid healing rates. We appreciate your referrals, and hope that you continue to think of us in assisting your practice and making it more efficient, by allowing us to serve your patients with acute or chronic wounds. Our Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center at the Mission Oaks Campus offers comprehensive state-of-the-art wound care in treating patients with these debilitating conditions. Our comprehensive wound care service includes developing a treatment plan and having on-going communication, informing you of your patient’s progress. The focus on patient care leads to success for all of us -- patients and physicians, enabling patients to return to active and healthy lives!
At the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medical Center, we follow clinically proven pathways that promote faster healing and better outcomes. We bring together the people, resources, and expertise needed to promote true healing. Your patient's individualized treatment plan may include specialized wound dressings, debridement, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, prescription growth factors, bio-engineered skin grafting, edema management and non-invasive vascular assessment. Our site has 2 hyperbaric oxygen chambers to treat diabetic ulcers of the lower extremities, soft tissue radionecrosis and osteoradionecrosis, chronic refractory osteomyelitis, and compromised skin grafts and flaps.
We also have two new physicians who have joined our staff: Dr. Najwa Javed from surgical podiatry, and Dr. Kirk Churukian, specializing in plastic surgery. Our multi-disciplinary staff includes the following physicians:
- Dr. Julia Shuleshko, Medical Director, Emergency Medicine
- Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan, Medical Director, General and Vascular Surgeon
